How it works

From thought to sticky note with one Enter

Nothing to set up, nothing to learn. The Notes Helper is already part of your account.

  1. 1

    Jot it down

Type into “Quick note …” on your dashboard and hit Enter – the note is up. Need more room? Open the editor, which looks like a big sticky note itself.

  2. 2

A title? Only if you want one

Leave the title empty and the first line becomes the heading, taken out of the text. One-line notes are simply a title.

  3. 3

    Sort into groups

Create groups like Work, Personal or Ideas. Each one gets its own note color, and a click on the color dot switches it. Notes without a group stay yellow.

  4. 4

    Pin it and find it

Important notes get a red pin and always stay up front. Search filters as you type, and the group chips show how much is where.

What the Notes Helper does

A notes board that stays tidy

As quick as a sticky note on your monitor, minus the part where it falls off, fades or gets buried under a pile.

Groups and colors

Work and personal, clearly apart at a glance

Instead of maintaining tags, you create a few groups. Each one gets one of six note colors, and every note in the group wears it. The color alone tells you what a note is about.

  • Yellow, blue, green, pink, orange or purple
  • One click on the color dot recolors the whole group
  • Deleted a group? The notes stay, just without a group

Search and filter

Found before you finish typing

Search runs right in your browser across the title and text of every note and narrows things down with each letter. The group chips next to it show just work, just personal or everything.

  • No loading, no waiting: results show up instantly
  • Chips with a count for every group
  • Pinned notes stay on top in the results, too

Dictation

Hands full? Just say it

The editor has a mic button. You talk, the text shows up on the note. Your browser handles the speech recognition, in English and German. If it can't, the button simply isn't there.

  • Save with the button or Ctrl/Cmd + Enter
  • Esc or a click outside saves automatically
  • Empty notes are never saved

Trash

Deleted by accident? One click brings it back

Instead of an “are you sure?” you get a notice with Undo. And even later nothing is lost: deleted notes stay in the trash for 30 days and can be restored from there.

  • Undo right in the notice
  • Restore from the trash for 30 days
  • Permanent deletion only in the trash, after a confirmation

And there's more

Small touches that make a difference every day

“Quick note …” right on your dashboard

The widget has an input field and shows up to four notes, pinned ones first. You don't even have to open the Notes Helper.

The first line is enough

Without a title, the first line becomes the heading. One-liners like a parking spot need nothing else.

Saves on its own

Close the editor with Esc or a click outside and your changes are already saved.

In your morning briefing

The number of pinned notes shows up in your briefing every morning. One click takes you to them.

For your team, too

Give team members access to the Notes Helper and each of them gets their own pinboard.

A pinboard with character

Every note hangs slightly tilted from its pin and straightens up as soon as you point at it.

Your notes belong to you

Each note belongs to the person who wrote it. Nobody else on the account can see it, and no language model analyzes it.

The difference

Scattered notes without and with the Notes Helper

Same thoughts, same workday. Just one place where you can find them again.

Without Notes Helper

  • Sticky notes fall off the monitor or vanish under paperwork
  • Work and personal stuff are all mixed up
  • You hunt for that one note across three apps and two notebooks
  • Once it's gone, it's gone
  • One more tool, one more login, one more subscription

With Notes Helper

  • Your notes live on your dashboard, where you start every day anyway
  • Color-coded groups keep apart what doesn't belong together
  • Search finds any note while you type
  • Deleted notes wait in the trash for 30 days
  • Included free with your Automagio account

Working together

Small, but well connected

The Notes Helper is simple on purpose. What it knows, it shows you where you look first thing in the morning.

The perfect companion

And when a thought turns into a task?

Notes are for everything you want to remember. As soon as something has a date or a deadline, the Task Agent is the better place: capture tasks in seconds and plan your day in a minute.

See the Task Agent

My tip: thoughts go on the pinboard, deadlines go into the Task Agent. That's where I plan them into your day with you.

Questions

What you want to know first

Short, straight answers. If yours is missing, just ask us.

How much does the Notes Helper cost?

Nothing. The Notes Helper is part of the base dashboard and comes with every Automagio account. It has no running costs either, because it works without a language model.

Who can see my notes?

Only you. Each note belongs to the person who created it and is not visible to anyone else on the account – not even the account owner.

Can my team members use the Notes Helper?

Yes. As the account owner, you give team members access. Each member then gets their own pinboard with their own groups.

Do I have to give every note a title?

No. If you leave the title empty, the first line becomes the heading and is taken out of the text. A one-line note is then just its title.

How does dictation work?

It uses your browser's speech recognition, in English and German. Tap the mic in the editor and talk, and the text appears on the note. If your browser doesn't support speech recognition, the button isn't shown at all.

What happens when I delete a note?

It goes to the trash. Right after deleting, you can bring it back with Undo, or restore it from the trash later. After 30 days it's deleted for good. Deleting permanently yourself only works in the trash, after a confirmation.

Note or task – what goes where?

Rule of thumb: notes for thoughts, ideas and things to look up. Anything with a date or deadline belongs in the Task Agent, where you plan it into your day.

Does Alex read my notes?

No. The Notes Helper deliberately works without a language model, and your notes are never analyzed. Alex only drops by with a short tip while your pinboard is still empty.
