How it works

From idea to routine in minutes

From one sentence, from a file or typed yourself: a checklist is ready quickly – and gets better with every run.

  1. 1

    One sentence is enough

Tell Alex what you need the checklist for. You get a draft with sections and required items that you adjust and save.

  2. 2

    From text or file

Work instructions as PDF, a process in Word or a long email: Alex turns it into steps you can tick off – without inventing anything.

  3. 3

Work through it step by step

One item in focus, tick it off with the space bar, skip with S. Ideal for routines where the order matters.

  4. 4

    Tick off together

Share a checklist with your team. Everyone ticks off in the same run, every tick shows name and time – and the list updates by itself.

More than a list

Checklists that think along

Good checklists are short, concrete and keep getting better. That is exactly where Alex helps.

Two ways of working

Step by step or as a final check

If you rarely do a routine, go through it item by item. If you know it by heart, work from memory and check at the end that nothing is missing. You set the way of working per checklist and can switch at any time during a run.

  • Keyboard: space completes, S skips, arrows browse
  • Required items cannot be skipped
  • Note and link for every item, e.g. to instructions

A learning checklist

Gets better with every run

After completing a run, Alex asks whether anything was missing – one click and the item is on the list next time. If an item keeps being left undone, Alex suggests removing it.

  • Suggestions from the team go to the checklist owner
  • Quality hints while typing: too long, duplicate, vague
  • On request Alex reviews the content and suggests missing steps

Runs by itself

Starts when it is time

Recurring checklists start on their due date by themselves. A keyword connects them to your calendar: if “trade show” is in an event, the packing list is ready three days before – and appears as a task in the Task Agent.

  • Daily, on weekdays, weekly or monthly
  • Exactly one run per event, no matter how often you look
  • Completing the run ticks off the task in the Task Agent

Also

Quick to use, well thought out

Quick entry

One line, Enter, next item. A pasted list is split automatically – bullets and numbers disappear.

Alex is watching

While you type you see what stands out. One click and Alex reviews the content more closely.

Required items

Anything that must not be missed is marked. The run can only be completed once it is done.

Recurring

The run starts by itself. If the last one is still open, no second one is created.

Share with your team

With individual colleagues or the whole team. Only the owner edits – everyone can make suggestions.

Print

Template or completed run, clean on paper or as PDF.

Morning briefing

Due and overdue runs appear in your morning briefing.

Before / after

No more “we forgot that last time too”

What lives in heads or in a Word document becomes a routine everyone on the team follows the same way.

Without Checklist Helper

  • Routines live in heads or outdated documents
  • Everyone does it slightly differently
  • Nobody knows who already did what
  • The same mistakes happen again and again
  • The trade show packing list comes to mind the night before

With Checklist Helper

  • One template, as many runs as you like
  • Everyone works through the same steps
  • Every tick with name and time
  • What was missing is on the list next time
  • The calendar starts the list in good time

Working together

Connected to your other agents

The Checklist Helper works on its own. With Task Agent, Calendar Agent and the morning briefing it fits together automatically.

Questions

What you want to know first

Short, straight answers. If yours is missing, just ask us.

What does the Checklist Helper cost?

The Checklist Helper is free in every Automagio account. The features where Alex drafts, reads or reviews checklists are currently limited to 40 requests per person per day.

How is it different from the Task Agent?

The Task Agent manages one-off tasks. The Checklist Helper is for routines that run the same way again and again: you set up the checklist once and run it as often as you like. Due runs can appear as tasks in the Task Agent.

Which files can Alex read?

Text (.txt, .md, .csv), Word (.docx) and PDF up to 10 MB. You can also simply paste a text or an email. Alex only creates steps that appear in the content.

Who can see my checklists?

Only you at first. You can share a checklist with individual team members or the whole team. They can start runs and tick items off; only the owner can edit the template.

What happens when I change the template?

Running and completed runs stay as they were started. Changes apply from the next run.

How does starting from the calendar work?

In the template you set a keyword and a lead time, for example “trade show” and three days before. If the keyword is in the title of an event in the Calendar Agent, the run starts automatically – exactly once per event.

Can I print checklists?

Yes. Templates and runs can be printed straight from the browser or saved as PDF.
